Detailed Report of Incident |
|
| Newport kicked the ball high to Albany. While the ball was still in the air and ~5 meters from in-goal (inside his 22M), Mr. Ayoreh called "Mark"; in accordance with Law 18 the Mark was not awarded. Mr. Ayoreh then caught the ball and called mark again, just as the Neport center hit him to tackle...the mark was awarded. Both players were on their feet. At this point, there was no infringement. Not understanding why he got hit, Mr. Ayoreh shoved the Newport center, who retaliated by throwing a punch to Mr. Ayoreh's body. Mr. Ayoreh retaliated in kind. Arriving players from both sides separated the two and no injuries resulted. |
