General Pattern of Play
Maine's big boys thumped into Tufts' generally smaller bodies. Both sides showed great heart and some good rugby skills but Maine had a clear size and strength advantage. Tufts' two visits to the Maine 22 at the end of the second half was characterized by a string of Maine penalties, so I put the Maine team on general warning for the start of the second half. As a team Maine seemed limited in their ability to keep aggression and discipline in balance, resulting in a slew of defensive penalties at the start of the second half when Tufts again was in a scoring position.

Detailed Report of Incident
After a series of penalties against Maine near their goal line, I informed their captain that his team had to improve their behavior or I would start sending guys to the bin. He understood and communicated the same to his team, but almost immediately thereafter Mr. Worster tackled a Tufts player near the goal line and lay on top of him and the ball at the ensuing ruck. I stopped play and issued a yellow card in hopes that Maine would clean up their collective act....(continued in next report_
