Detailed Report of Incident
Both teams were warned at half-time to keep tackles lower after many instances of both side's defensive players engaging ball carriers high. After the warning, players entered into contact lower, however, on a defensive stand within 10 meters of Curry's try-zone, Curry player Ernie Vacca engaged a UNE ball carrier above the carrier's shoulders resulting in a high tackle. The contact happened at a relatively slow pace and no contact was made with the head of the ball carrier, so a yellow card was issued. Since there was only 6:23 remaining in the match, the player was ineligible to return. The Curry player understood the nature of the offense and was apologetic both during the incident and after the match.
