Weather and Field Conditions
Cool start. Warmed up considerably as the game progressed. I have made previous report about my concerns about the pitch.

General Pattern of Play
BU was guilty numerous penalties in the first half, but they were technical in nature. After the 2nd half, BU adjusted and infringed. UMD was played a power game with a couple of speedy backs. They started to fatigue in the 2nd half, which led to penalties.

Detailed Report of Incident
In the 68th minute, BU had the ball at pace inside the 22 as they were close to scoring their 6th try of the day. Mr. Gomes hustled to stop the ball carrier, but his tackle was dangerous as his arm made contact just below the jaw on the side of the carrier's neck. The carrier's head snapped a little bit. It was an easy decision to issue a card because that tackle could lead to an injury. Mr. Gomes apologized immediately and accepted the sanction.
