Detailed Report of Incident
Not 3 minutes after I gave Belmont a yellow card for a dump tackle, Laurent Brabo #10 for Belmont committed a high tackle. To his credit, it was accidental and he tried to get his arm down, but it was still high and right after I gave Belmont a card for dangerous play. If this high tackle was worse, or on purpose I would have considered a Red Card given the timing of the incident. However, the timing was the most unfortunate for Brabo, as the offense by itself was borderline card worthy. After the match he was apologetic and was adamant that he didn't do it on purpose, and tried to get the arm down. I understand and agree with his perspective, but explained that it's up to him as the tackler to put himself in a position not to commit the offense.
