Weather and Field Conditions
Driving torrential rain. Ball was like soap and very hard to manage - causing many knockons and of course scrums. Teams did better than I had expected. My paper score book was wet withing minutes so I used the field score board to track the score - which was correct.

General Pattern of Play
After a try was scored by the visitors, where three home team players were offside and I played advantage. This was after a team warning for offside. I thought the converted score was enough punishment in the situation versus a yellow card. The home coach was very critical of the penalty balance (15-2) against the home team and wanted me to balance it up. It does not work that way. The home team were persistent in their infringements - particularly offside.

Detailed Report of Incident
This player was off side repeatly and gave the advantage to the other team and warned him. The problem was he was taking too much advantage and deemed a yellow card. When he came on again was off side again. I considered another yellow (for hime a red) but the result was assured for the visitors and a red would not spolied the situation.

So main point for Marshfield - stay on side.
