General Pattern of Play
Army had already been given a red card, and were warned several times regarding 'backchat'. Dartmouth had been given the same warning in the first half but had been silent since their warning. Army were physical while Dartmouth were more rugby athletic.

Detailed Report of Incident
During open play, Army were attacking near half way close to the 15m line (near the club house). Army had won a ruck and had made several passes to move the ball where they had a mismatch of number of players. Army #5 received the ball and attacked knowing that he had a much smaller defender in Dartmouth #9. The Dartmouth scrumhalf, who had shown that he wasn't afraid of contact, prepared to make a tackle and leaned down, in doing so, Army #5 proceeded to almost literally hurdle him, left leg first, with his studs leading him. The Army #5 didn't make contact with the Dartmouth #9. Army #5 had been a model rugby player throughout the game and was very receptive to my decision.
