Weather and Field Conditions
Perfect night. Mild temperature and no breeze. It was a multi-use artificial surface with more than one set of lines, and the lines were faded and thin, but at least there were less lines and it was less confusing than most similar pitches.

General Pattern of Play
A fast and physical match. New Haven played with great energy and enthusiasm, though their attacking play was essentially direct, straight running. UMass countered with smarter play. A great match pitting two different kinds of teams together.

Detailed Report of Incident
In a tackle situation, the offending player had a hold of the ball carrier's neck with both hands. He was commanded to release the attacking player's neck, but continued to hang onto the player's neck while pulling the attacking player down and forward with him to the ground. Yellow card for dangerous play
