Weather and Field Conditions
Sunny, mild, and dry. A perfect afternoon for rugby. The pitch was a multi-purposed artificial surface, though it was marked with rugby-specific lines and properly positioned posts which made it less confusing than most similar pitches.

General Pattern of Play
Providence was a more balanced team than Northern Vermont and had a significant advantage in the centres and back three, from where most of their scoring came. This is also a result of the fact that NVU was playing with only 12 players for most of the match. When NVU kept possession and attacked through their forwards they had significant success. Also, it was telling that Providence did not score when their inside centre - the team captain as well as their most dangerous attacking player - went into the sin bin.

Detailed Report of Incident
Providence was penalized twice for being offsides on defense in their own 22 while under pressure from the Northern Vermont attack. The captain was warned that the next offsides penalty in that area would result in a yellow card. The captain herself was the next offsides defender and was sent to the sin bin.
