The first 10 minutes of this game was a hard hitting and running affair as both sides came to play. Bowdoin capitalized first with a made penalty kick 10 minutes in. Colby scored a converted try a few minutes later and this opened up the try floodgates. They rattled off 3 more (2 converted) before the half with a balanced attack of shifty forwards and backliners. Bowdoin was not able to answer and the half-time score was 26-3. Bowdoin came out in the 2nd fired up and marched up the field to score a converted try and breathed some life into their comeback hopes. But Colby quickly dashed those with more hard and shifty running from their backline. Fantastic communication was on display as they broke many runs and continued them with high-light reel offloads and passes. Colby punched in another 4 trys before the end of the game whilst Bowdoin kept playing hard and scored a well-deserved try at the 70 minute mark. Despite the lop-sided score, the Hosts kept playing hard and my hat goes off to them. The Colby side had just too much firepower this day.
