Match Report for

University of Vermont (1st) vs. Southern Connecticut State University (1st)
06 October 2018

Location: Can park at UVM Police Services

University of Vermont: 50    Southern Connecticut State University: 0

Match played in front of a larger than usual crowd due to Parent's Weekend. A three-club wind caused several handling errors in the first half, leading to a high number of scrums, which were all well coached and easy to manage on my end. UVM scored in the 4th, 25th and 38th minute with the wind at their back for a 19-0 lead at the half, with So Conn being very competitive and missing few tackles. Having the wind in the second half didn't have the effect I thought it may have, as UVM found another gear and took advantage of being a player up as a So Conn player was sin binned for a tip tackle. UVM scored five more tries in the second half and continued their impressive defensive streak of not giving up a try all season, though So Conn had some possession inside of the UVM 22 a couple of times in the second half.
